RYA Courses

We are a recognised RYA Training Centre operating on a Training Ship of the Sea Cadets, TS Quantock. We are specialising in shorebased courses and the training centre is run by Enrico Cabrini who is also an RYA Cruising Instructor with several nautical miles uder his belt.

Navigation Academy is providing the following RYA shorebased courses:

RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship

Prerequites Age Duration Format Objective Achivement
None from 12 16 hours 2 full days Basic knowledge about navigation, chart reading, safety, seamanship

You will be able to appreciate the basic principle of navigation.

RYA Certificate

RYA Day Skipper

Prerequites Age Duration Format Objective Achivement
Some practical experience from 15 40 hours + Exam time 5 full days Intermediate knowledge about navigation, collision regulation and safety.

You will be able to navigate around familiar waters in view of coastline and with less than Force 4.

Day Skipper shorebased course and practical experience from 17 40 hours + Exam time 5 full days Advanced knowledge about navigation. Preparation for offshore passage planning and pilotage.

You will be able to navigate offshore.

RYA Certificate

RYA First Aid

Prerequites Age Duration Format Objective Achivement
None from 14 8 hours 1 full day Understand the basic principle of First Aid at sea. It is a required course for Coastal/Yachtmaster©

You will be able to take immediate life saving action and treat minor injuries.

Test your knowledge! Are you familiar with the CEVNI regulations for Inland Waterways?
